What Are the 3 Steps in the pH Plex© System?

pH Plex© is composed of three products, used in three steps during your hair coloring/bleaching process and in-between treatments.

The first step (pH Plex 1: Protect) is mixed into your at-home hair color and/or bleach to protect your hair from damage during the application process.

After rinsing the hair, the second step (pH Plex 2: Repair) is applied and left on for 5-10 minutes to repair any left-over damage during the application process, all at a molecular level.

Step 3 (pH Plex© 3: Stabilize) is a weekly treatment that replenishes the active ingredients of steps 1 and 2 and repairs your hair at the molecular level. It also protects your hair from the day-to-day thermal and mechanical damage that happens during brushing, combing, blow-drying, and flat-ironing – all for a silky, gorgeous look.

Who’s pH Plex© For?

Applying them to an individual customer typically required adjustments to the color composition, bleach/lightener oxidizer concentration, and application time. How easy is it to use?

If you can read the packaging, you’re good to go. Simply mix the full content of Step 1 into your Color or Bleach, apply and leave-in as normal.

Then rinse, apply the full content of Step 2, leave-in for 5-10 minutes, then rinse again, shampoo and style as normal.

Apply Step 3 once per week to washed, damp hair, leave-in for 5-10 minutes, rinse or wash if you prefer, style as normal.

What Makes pH Plex© Different Than Other Plex Hair Products?

There are other Plex hair protectors out there. What makes ours different? Two things:

1. No changes to your color or bleach results with little change to your normal hair color/bleaching routine.

pH Plex has a worldwide patent, thus exclusive technology that ensures that you have the hair color and bleach results you are used to seeing. The pH in pH Plex refers to the pH value of your hair color/bleach and the pH of your skin.

Our unique formulation of step 1 has a pH that matches your hair color and/or bleach. Normally, a salon professional would have to create this pH balance, but we have already done it for you!

2. More Effective Hair Repair

Your hair is made of up to 21 types of amino acids. While the bonding technology of other Plex products (as Olaplex says) can react with one type of amino-acid, the pH Plex© 1: Protect active ingredient can react with all types of amino acids that make up your hair.
